In 2010, Newlight Partners partnered with a management team to form Crystal Financial ("Crystal"), a specialty finance company focused on providing value-added, flexible debt solutions to middle market companies. Crystal mainly focused on ABL and Senior Secured loans but also provided enterprise value / cash flow loans on an opportunistic basis. Crystal was aquired by Solar Capital in 2012.
