In 2019, Newlight Partners began investing in a de novo insurance platform, Pursuit Investors, and in 2021 Pursuit Investors launched Upland Capital Group (“Upland Capital”). Based in Dallas, Texas, Upland Capital is focused on building a nimble, disciplined and profitable excess and surplus casualty, property, and specialty insurance provider, with an experienced specialty insurance management team.
